Where your power comes from

Do you know where your power comes from? In Virginia, coal plants provide 44% of all our electricity, nuclear 38% and natural gas is 13%. The rest comes from renewables — including wood and municipal solid waste — hydropower and oil, according to the latest data from the U.S. government’s energy statistics agency, the Energy Information Administration.
