The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that public schools alone spend more than $8 billion per year on energy costs – that’s a lot of school lunches! And with higher rates and ever increasing use of technology in the classroom, those costs will continue to rise. Computers, projectors, TV monitors, PDAs and other equipment make learning and teaching easier. But these devices also use a lot of energy. It’s one place to start looking for energy savings.
